VA Clinic Closures

State Veterans’ Homes Program Update:

 The Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs (FDVA) operates six skilled nursing facilities and one assisted living facility.  All state veterans’ homes are currently operational and have resumed normal operations.

 U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Update:

 The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) operates a number of Florida-based Medical Centers, Outpatient Clinics and Vet Centers. Patients who had scheduled appointments will be contacted to reschedule their appointments.

Note: VA Medical Centers are not designated hurricane shelters.

  • Miami VA Medical Center & Clinics:
    • Normal operations.
  • West Palm Beach VA Medical Center & Clinics:
    • Normal operations.
  • Bay Pines VA Medical Center & Clinics:
    • Normal operations.
  • Tampa VA Medical Center & Clinics:
    • Normal operations.
  • Orlando VA Medical Center & Clinics:
    • Resuming normal operations Thursday, Sept. 5.
  • North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System (Gainesville, Lake City, Jacksonville):
    • Resuming normal operations Thursday, Sept. 5.
  • Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System (Pensacola, Eglin AFB, Panama City):
    • Normal operations.

County Veteran Service Offices:

 Information on current federal, state and local veterans’ programs, entitlements and referral services is available in Florida through a network of County Veteran Service Offices. Counselors are trained and accredited annually by the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs. All services are provided free of charge.
