The men and women of the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs bid a fond farewell to Dr. Rebecca Yackel, administrator at the Baldomero Lopez State Veterans’ Nursing Home in Land O’ Lakes, upon her retirement Oct. 4. Yackel, who completed her Doctorate Degree in Health Administration in 2010, and her dedicated staff, provide award winning high-quality care to veterans at the 120-bed skilled nursing facility. She has been with the facility since its opening in 1999.
