Florida Legislative Update

The 2021 Florida Legislative Session is scheduled for March 2, 2021 through April 30, 2021. The Florida Legislature meets in session every year for sixty consecutive days.

A series of Interim Committee Weeks will commence following the November 3, 2020 General Election and precede the March 2021 start of the 60-day legislative session. The dates have not been announced.

Florida lawmakers are slated to return to the Capitol on Nov. 17 for an organization session where incoming Senate President Wilton Simpson and incoming House Speaker Chris Sprowls will take over as leaders of their respective chambers.
