On behalf of the men and women of FDVA, I want to let the nurses and health care professionals at our state veterans’ homes know how much they’re appreciated by our residents and family members. While we mourn the COVID-19 loss today of an elderly Hospice resident from our veterans’ home in Broward County, we look forward to a time in the near future when we can more formally honor our residents and recognize their accomplishments.
As we begin our observance of National Nurses Week, know how proud we are of your selfless actions to keep our resident heroes and fellow staff members safe from the effects of COVID-19. Your attentive steps are resulting in fewer individuals testing positive. In addition, those who had originally tested positive are now returning to the fold after receiving two consecutive negative test results.
Keep up the great work. You’re making a difference!
