TALLAHASSEE – The Gallery for Innovation and the Arts at the R.A. Gray Building is hosting a public exhibition of art work created by Florida Gold Star Families during the month of September. The exhibition has been created by the mothers, fathers and spouses of active duty members who have been killed in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The Gallery for Innovation and the Arts is dedicated to showcasing Florida artwork that is educational and demonstrates inventive ways of using visual media to convey new ideas and highlight often unheard voices.
The exhibit space is located on the first floor of the R. A. Gray Building at 500 South Bronough Street in Tallahassee. Hours are Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday Noon – 4:30 p.m.
The exhibition, featuring more than 20 paintings, photographs and other works, concludes Sept. 29.
